Environmental international conventions ratified by RB

The Republic of Belarus is a full-fledged party to the following environmental conventions and protocols that regulate the system of actions and measures to preserve certain components of the environment:

• UN Convention on Biological Diversity; 
• The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change;
• UN Convention to Combat Desertification / Land Degradation; 
• Convention on Wetlands of International Importance Mainly as Habitat for Waterfowl (Ramsar); 
• The Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES);
• Convention on Access to Information, Public Participation in Decision-Making and Access to Justice in Environmental Matters (Aarhus);
• Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety.
