GPU NP Pripyatsky confirms its commitment to the forest management system in accordance with the principles and criteria of the Forest Stewardship Council® (Forest Stewardship Council), aimed at preserving biological diversity.
The policy of the State Environmental Institution "National Park" Pripyatsky "in the field of sustainable forest management and forest management is based on a system of forest and forest resources management based on the principles of constancy, uniformity, sustainability and complexity, ensuring economically efficient, environmentally responsible and socially oriented forestry and forest management, conservation of biological and landscape diversity, the use of forest resources and the extraction of useful properties of forests for specific purposes, preserving the biological diversity and productivity of forests, ensuring the reproduction, vitality and sustainability of forests, and the performance of appropriate ecological, economic and social functions.
The policy of the management of the national park is aimed at observing the rules and norms of forestry and production of forest products in accordance with international legislation and technical regulatory legal acts in force on the territory of the Republic of Belarus.
The National Park cooperates with state bodies, public associations, scientific organizations, citizens of the Republic of Belarus and foreign countries on scientific research, nature conservation, nature management, economic activities and monitoring. The enterprise in its work is guided by the international Conventions ratified by the Republic of Belarus.
The main goal of the GPU NP "Pripyatskiy" in the field of sustainable forest management and forest management is the preservation of forest and other forest-related resources, their biological and landscape diversity, strengthening of the economy, observance of social justice in relation to forest workers with the forest-related population.
The main goal of the GPU "NP" Pryapyatsky "in the field of product identification is to ensure, in the production process, the distinction of forest products and products of its processing, produced from raw materials and materials originating from forests certified in accordance with the requirements of the international forest certification scheme and the requirements of the national forest certification system. conformity confirmation systems of the Republic of Belarus, from products of other origin.
The main tasks of the National Park are:
– preservation of the natural complex as a historically formed landscape and the genetic fund of flora and fauna;
– organization and implementation of nature conservation measures on the territory of the national park, ensuring compliance with the established regime for the protection and use of the territory of the national park;
– organization of environmental education, education and upbringing of the population and promotion of environmental protection;
– conducting scientific research related to the inventory of flora and fauna, organization of monitoring, development and implementation of scientific methods for the conservation of biological diversity, the study of natural objects and complexes;
– development and implementation into practice of scientific methods of nature protection and nature management; organization of environmental monitoring;
– preservation of cultural heritage (objects of ethnography, archeology, history, paleontology and others);
–  organization of tourism, recreation and other recreational activities, as well as health improvement of the population;
– management of an integrated economy based on scientifically grounded traditional technologies and advanced achievements of nature management;
– carrying out economic and other activities in accordance with the established regime of protection and use of the territory of the National Park.
In accordance with the main goal and main task, the national park carries out the following main activities:
- organization and implementation of environmental protection measures, ensuring compliance with the established regime for the protection and use of the territory of the national park;
- forestry;
- logging;
- services related to forestry and logging;
- sawing and planing wood;
- hunting and game breeding, including the provision of services in these areas;
- activities of nature reserves, wildlife protection;
- protection and restoration of objects of historical and cultural heritage;
- activities of travel agents;
- provision of services by hotels with restaurants;
Logging and woodworking is carried out by ELOH "Lyaskovichi", which is part of the National Park "Pripyatsky".
To achieve the set objectives, the GPU "NP" Pripyatsky "undertakes to adhere to the principles and criteria of sustainable forest management and forest use of the Forest Stewardship Council (Forest Stewardship Council®).
The activities of the national park will not conflict with the current international conventions, agreements, standards and other documents in force in the industry.

In our economic activities, we undertake to prevent environmental pollution, to minimize all other negative human impacts on the environment. The National Park undertakes to support the principles of environmental responsibility and implement them in daily work through strict observance of the Forest Code of the Republic of Belarus, instructions on the allocation and taxation of cutting areas in the forests of the Republic of Belarus and other documents in force in forestry. We are committed to not harvesting timber in a manner that conflicts with our forestry policy and to share our sustainable production commitments with our partners. In our practice, we will continue to take into account the interests of the indigenous population living in the park, contribute to the solution of its social and cultural problems, and conduct monitoring in strategic and production planning. The high level of qualifications of specialists contributes to the maintenance and increase of the biological value of forests and the implementation of labor protection rules. We will openly provide information about our forest conservation tasks and their implementation, cooperate with government bodies and public organizations.

The main goal of our activity is the production of high-quality, competitive, environmentally friendly products not only satisfying the requirements of consumers, but also made from raw materials from certified or controlled sources.
GPU NP "Pripyatskiy" undertakes to make every effort in order to exclude the purchase of raw materials from illegally harvested timber and guarantees buyers:
– sell products made, at the request of the customer, only from Forest Stewardship Council® (Forest Stewardship Council) certified or Forest Stewardship Council® controlled raw materials;
–  for production Forest Stewardship Council® (Forest Stewardship Council) certified products to purchase raw materials only from Forest Stewardship Council® (Forest Stewardship Council)certified suppliers authorized to supply raw materials from Forest Stewardship Council® (Forest Stewardship Council) certified or from Forest Stewardship Council® (Forest Stewardship Council) controlled wood;
– do not use in the manufacture of products with Forest Stewardship Council® (Forest Stewardship Council) raw material produced from wood from uncontrolled sources;
– make every effort to exclude raw materials for production Forest Stewardship Council® (Forest Stewardship Council) certified wood products of the following categories:

        • -illegally harvested timber;
        • -timber harvested in violation of traditional and civil rights;
        • -wood harvested in forests where high conservation values are threatened in the process of forest use;
        • -wood harvested on plots converted to plantations or non-forest land;
        • -wood from forests where genetically modified trees are grown;
        • -timber harvested in violation of any of the key ILO conventions,
        • -included in the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work 1998.
